This is the famous Lionel Union Pacific M10000 Streamliner Set from the 1930s. When introduced in 1934, this set broke new ground for Lionel. It was the first model of a diesel-powered train Lionel ever produced, and it was scale length. The set's extreme length means that it will only run on curves 72 inches in diameter or larger. The set includes a powered unit and non-powered trailing cars. A great addition to any Lionel collection. The locomotive features metal construction, a motor, an operating headlight, an operating whistle, and metal wheels. The non-powered cars features metal construction, interior illumination, and metal wheels.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There are heavy nicks, scratches, and spots of surface rust present on all items included. Additionally, there are signs of paint wear, chipping, and heavy abrasions throughout their surfaces. Window liners are original and very discolored, brittle, and beginning to come apart. Vestibules show signs of heavy wear and previous use. When tested, the locomotive sometimes struggles to go and will benefit from a cleaning. Bulbs on some cars and vestibules will need to be replaced. One wheelset is missing from one of the cars, other wheelsets are brittle and will need to be replaced.
