This is a Micro-Trains 18000171 N Scale Southern Pacific 50' Standard Box Car with 10' Single Door #651485. These 50' standard box cars with 10' single door, no roofwalk, and short ladders are brown with white lettering and run on Roller Bearing trucks. Built in 1957, these boxcars were one of the first to be equipped with a Hydra-Cushion underframe, designed jointly by Southern Pacific and Stanford University, to help reduce commodity damage from slack action and other in-train shock forces. These cars continued to be seen in revenue service through the early 1990s. This freight car features a durable plastic construction with separately applied detail trim parts, plastic trucks, plastic wheels and axles, and knuckle couplers.
