Here is a Marx 9500 Southern Pacific Diesel Freight Train Set. This set includes a powered A unit, non-powered A unit, Pennsylvania marchandise service boxcar, Wabash gondola, Southern Pacific caboose, and a 1209 transformer. The powered locomotive features tinplate construction, motor, stamped metal trucks, metal wheels and axles. The non-powered unit and rolling stock features stamped metal trucks, wedge couplers, metal wheels and axles. One of the included curved track sections is not original, but is the same type of track.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There is an indication on the powered locomotive that parts of the powered locomotive have been restored by the previous owner. There are chipped sections of paint, nicks, and scratches on the surface of the shells and chassis of each of the cars and the locomotive. There are some visible indentions on the locomotive and on the cars. There is some spot rust present on the bottom of the locomotive and cars, most noticeable on the axels of the cars. The tracks show signs of previous use with visible tarnishing on the rails and some visual wear/rusting on the metal ties. The wheels show average run-time. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is included.
