Here is a Lionel 6800 Vintage O Flatcar with Yellow over Black Airplane from 1957-60. The yellow over black version is quite a bit harder to find than the more common black over yellow version. The 6800 Airplane Car is an attractive and popular freight car and was produced for four years in the late 1950‘s. Like most postwar Lionel flatcars with loads, the value with this freight car is the airplane. Locating the flatcar is easy, but locating a complete and undamaged airplane is difficult. The plane has folding wings. The car has die-cast trucks and operating knuckle couplers, metal wheels and axles.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. The wheels show average run-time. This car shows scratches and paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. The plan shows light nicks and scratches throughout various sections of it's body.
