This is a Lionel 60 Lionelville Motorized Rapid Transit Car from 1955-58. It features bumpers on each end that cause it to change directions whenever it runs into anything like a bumper. It features interior illumination, a reverse unit, operating function and silhouetted window strips. When the direction changes the trolley pole on top also spins around to the proper trailing position. It was a real postwar favorite and Lionel has remade it in several varieties over the years. This is the late version with one-piece bumpers and the clerestory vents in the roof..

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. This car is in exceptional shape with minimal nicks and light scratches on the body. There are also only minor specks of surface rust on some of the axles. The roof is slightly loose. The roof antennae is slightly bent out of place. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is not included.
