Here is a Lionel 6-9268 O Gauge Northern Pacific Bay Window Illuminated Caboose from 1977. This car has a bit of an interesting history. Originally, Lionel made the 1976 Northern Pacific Service Station Special set with a 9177 NP Caboose in prototypical green and yellow markings. However, many collectors complained that it did not match the 8666 GP-9 Locomotive, so Lionel made the 9268 the following year as an add-on to the set to match the engine. This car was never in the regular Lionel catalog and is somewhat hard to find. This caboose features interior illumination, die-cast metal trucks, die-cast metal operating knuckle couplers, metal wheels and axles.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. There are light nicks and scratches on the surface of the shell and chassis. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is included. Please check the photos for a detailed look at this item. Overall condition is Excellent.
