This is a Lionel 6-8250 O Gauge Santa Fe GP9 Powered Diesel Engine #8250 from 1972-74.
This was the second GP-9 produced during the MPC era (the first was the 8030 Illinois Central in 1970-72).
Features include working headlight beams, illuminated number plates, remote forward, neutral and reverse, a powerful pullmor motor, die-cast trucks and wheels. It measures 14 inches long.
