This is a Lionel 6-51010 O Gauge 246E Steam Passenger Train Set. Originally catalogued in 1933, the distinctive 246E outfit represents the second Prewar Celebration Series set proudly offered by Lionel. Led by a copper and brass trimmed 262E locomotive, this set features three classic passenger cars - #600, #601, and #602-decorated in gray, red, and ivory. These handsome baggage, observation, and Pullman cars feature copper journals and brass details. Included is #262E locomotive and 262T tender, a #600 Pullman car, a #601 observation car and a #602 baggage car. The locomotive features Transformer controlled forward, neutral, and reverse operation, trainSounds sound system with chuffing, crew announcements, brake squeal, steam whistle, and bell, a powerful AC motor, an operating headlight, metal locomotive body, frame, and trucks, metal tender body and trucks. The passenger cars feature die-cast metal trucks with operating hatch couplers, metal frames and bodies, illuminated interiors in the pullman and observation cars, opening doors on baggage car, individually boxed in the Prewar Celebration Series packaging. Minimum radius is O-27 and the length is 41 inches. This item was made in 2007.
