Built of steel and richly embellished by a wealth of accurate detail, the outfit includes a #616W power car, two #617 coaches, and a #618 observation car. Lionel offers the version first made available in 1938, a chrome outfit with gunmetal painting on the power car, observation car, and skirts. The coaches feature fluted sides and single doors. This set includes a #616W motor car, two #617 coaches and a #618 observation car. Features include transformer controlled forward, neutral, and reverse operation, an air whistle, a powerful AC motor, an operating headlight, metal car bodies, frames, and trucks, fluted car sides, Prewar Celebration Series packaging. The minimum curve radius is O-31 and it measures 42 inches long.
