This is a Lionel 51 Vintage O Navy Yard Turbine Powered Diesel Switcher #51 from 1956-57. This is one of the classic motorized units from the Postwar Era. It features an open frame motor, a 3-position e-unit, a die-cast frame, a decorative bell, die-cast trucks, and operating couplers. It can pull 2 or 3 cars.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. This item was tested and when put on the track it does move forward and reverse but sparks really bad and very slow. There are light nicks and scratches on the surface of the shell and chassis. The wheels show heavy run-time. The lights did not work. The original box is not included. The instruction manual is not included. Overall condition is Very Good.
