Here is a Lionel 4U Vintage O Prewar 1930 Macy's Special Tinplate Electric Passenger Set. This set includes an orange 4U Electric Bild-a-loco and was a unique engine that was sold as a kit, and could be easily assembled. The motor could be removed and used to power other toys. Made for only two years, it is quite hard to find today. Features for this locomotive include a motor, manual reverse unit, brass trim, metal wheels and axles. Also included are 2- 605 Pullman cars and a 606 Observation car. The passenger cars feature tinplate construction and interior lighting.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-5: Good based on visual appearance. Each item in this set displays scratches and paint imperfections across the body and underframe. The locomotive is missing a grab iron, as well as the glass portion of the lightbulb. The locomotive shell is also loose, as it is missing the screw that mounts the body to the chassis. Both 605 Pullman cars are missing a step piece from the underside. The observation car is missing one wheelset, while one of the pullman cars is missing two. Surface rust is present on each item, primarily on the wheels, axles, trucks, and other unpainted metal components. The wheels and rolling pickups show signs of average use. These items did not function when tested, and are being sold as-is. Remnants of one of the original boxes are included. The instruction manual is not included.
