This is a Lionel 3665 Vintage O Gauge US Air Force Minuteman Missile Launching Car from 1961-64. This features a concealed launching mechanism and missile inside the boxcar with an opening roof. To operate the car, cock the spring loaded mechanism, put the rocket on it, and close the nicely fitting roof halves. To remotely launch the missile, either park it or run it slowly over a remote control track section. When triggered the roof opens and the launching mechanism slowly raises and then the missile launches at your unsuspecting target! This car features plastic trucks, operating knuckle couplers, & metal wheels and axles. This unit features the red bottom, white tip missile variation.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. There is some sticker residue on the underside of this unit from the previous owner. This unit has faded a bit yellow with age. There are light nicks and scratches on the surface of the shell and chassis. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is not included.
