Lionel 2640 Vintage O Prewar Tinplate Green Pullman Passenger Cars [2] VG
Here are two Lionel 2640 Tinplate Green Pullman Cars. A late Prewar-Era car, the 2640 is the predecessor to the more common 2440 green pullmans from the late 1940s. This cars feature tinplate construction, interior illumination, automatic box couplers, metal wheels & axles.
These items have been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good. These cars show scratches and spots of paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. There is also some rust throughout various sections of the chassis, wheels and trucks. One of the cars has had it's wiring and rolling pickup removed so the illumination doesn't function. The other car was tested and its illumination was functional. The overall appearance of each item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The instruction manuals are not included.
