This is a Lionel 2056 Vintage O 4-6-4 Steam Locomotive W/ 2046W Tender from 1952. This is a Korean War hybrid using a Berkshire boiler casting on a Hudson wheel arrangement. Features include a 3-position E-unit, an operating smoke unit and an operating headlight. A 2046W tender is included and features die cast trucks, operating rear knuckle coupler, whistle, and metal wheels.

Known as the Baltic in Europe and the Hudson in North America, the 4-6-4 was introduced in the early 20th century finding success in hauling freight and as a shunting model. Their use would initially find great success on North American railways before eventually becoming mainstays in rail-yards around the world.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. The wheels show average run-time. The locomotive and tender have been tested. The locomotive is functional, but the tenders whistle did not function. This locomotive and tender show scratches and paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis.
