This is an LGB 51120 Speed Controller. The controller is fitted into a signal box housing. The controller supplies an infintely variable driving voltage and driving direction reversal via a single knob operation. From both left and right hand controller knob positions 4, which provide 18 volts, the knob can be further rotated over the provisional end stop into the final and full power position into the transformer. In the position, the railroad yard is supplied with 24 volts driving voltage. This provides a welcome reseerve especially for outdoor railroad yards.
