Bachmann Spectrum 11412 HO Baltimore & Ohio 2-8-0 Steam Loco & Tender #2784/Box

Here is a Bachmann Spectrum 11412 HO Scale Baltimore & Ohio 2-8-0 Steam Locomotive & Tender #2784. These DCC-ready, ready-to-run models feature a five-pole skew wound motor, belt/flywheel drive, all-metal chassis, no traction tires, metal side rods and metal wheels under the tender with pickup.

Introduced as a relative 'Late-comer" to the industry the 2-8-0 would quickly rise to popularity as a freight hauler the late 19th and early 20th century with its use spanning from the US to Europe. Hailed for its versatility during its run, the 2-8-0 would serve as a heavy freight hauler for various rail-ways before eventually seeing its use wind down starting in 1915. With a handful now in museums, there is still one model still operating in Pennsylvania today!

The previous owner has added a custom road name and number to the tender and locomotive. This item has not been tested as the connector on the tender is missing. This item is being sold as is.
