The latest in Bachmann’s USRA series of locomotives, the 2-8-2 is also known as the “Mikado” after Baldwin delivered the first engines with this wheel arrangement to Japan Railways in 1893. Our DCC sound-equipped USRA light model includes our Sound Value SoundTraxx ® steam sound package with authentic prototypical chuff, short and long whistles, bell, air pump, steam release, and blower–all in 16-bit polyphonic sound. Performs best on 18 radius curves or greater.
